The X9 supports a power input of AC 100-240V~ 50/60Hz, Max 0.35A. Please ensure your power source falls within this range.

X9 was designed to drive virtually all dynamic headphones, IEMS, and efficient planar orthodynamic headphones on the market.

X9 can generate the following power into the example headphones listed below.

  • Maximum Power into 32 Ω → 6000 mW
  • Maximum Power into 300 Ω → 650 mW
  • Maximum Power into 600 Ω → 420 mW

When connecting your headphones via the 6.35mm or 4.4mm ports, the X9 automatically detects the headphone impedance and optimizes the gain for the best listening experience. If you’re using the XLR connector, you can manually adjust the gain to suit your preferences (Audio Setting → Headphone Gain).

The beeping sound is produced by internal switches during operation and is completely normal. You may hear the sound in the following scenarios, among others:

1. When adjusting the volume with the control knob.

2. When enabling the HP-EQ function and selecting a headphone model.

3. When toggling bypass on/off.

4. When X9 boot up and restart.

The XLR headphone jack currently does not support impedance self-detection. This feature is available on the 6.35mm and 4.4mm headphone jacks.

There are two ways to switch the VU meter display:
