Firmware Update Fails, Gets Stuck, or Returns to the Upgrade Screen

A small number of users may occasionally encounter issues during firmware updates, such as:

• The online update process stops before reaching 100%.
• The update progress bar gets stuck for an extended period.
• The device returns to the upgrade screen without completing the update.
• The update package downloads successfully but installation does not start.
• The device repeatedly fails to install a new firmware version.

In most cases, these issues are related to network interruptions during the download process, incomplete firmware package downloads, or insufficient available internal storage caused by accumulated system data.

Recommended Troubleshooting Steps

Step 1: Reboot the Device

Please use the rear power switch to completely power off the device, wait a few seconds, and then power it back on.

Once the device has restarted, try the firmware update again.

Step 2: Check Network Stability

Please ensure:

• The device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
• The Wi-Fi signal strength is sufficient.
• The router is operating normally.
  

Step 3: Backup Settings and Perform a Factory Reset

If the firmware update continues to fail, the issue may be related to insufficient available internal storage caused by accumulated system data.

In this case:

1. Backup your personal settings.
2. Perform a Factory Reset.
3. Reconfigure the network connection.
4. Try the firmware update again.

Step 4: Try a Local Upgrade

If the issue still persists, we recommend performing a Local Upgrade.

1. Download the latest firmware package.
2. Copy the firmware file to the root directory of a FAT32-formatted USB-A flash drive.
3. Insert the USB drive into the rear USB-A port of the device.
4. Navigate to:

About → Upgrade → Local Upgrade

5. The device should automatically detect the firmware package and begin the update process.

Local Upgrade uses the firmware package stored on the USB drive and can help avoid issues caused by network interruptions during the download process.
